A 1940-season section from a Baseball Magazine album — team composites, league-leader panels and club-president portraits, cut from the magazine, mounted on yellow backing and sleeved in a ring album. The pages shown include the National League leaders panel for Debs Garms, Fred Fitzsimmons and Bucky Walters, the American League leaders panel for Joe DiMaggio and Bob Feller, portraits of Powel Crosley Jr. of the National League and World Champion Cincinnati club and Walter O. Briggs of the American League Champion Detroit club, a full New York Yankees team composite credited to Conlon and Burke, and a period Spalding bat advertisement. Twelve photographs of the album are included and the lot is sold as pictured; these are magazine pages, not loose original prints.
